Information and Instructions
|
This interactive, easy-to-use training is extremely rich in illustrations and takes the pain out of learning a complex and sometimes confusing subject.
Just start the automatic presentation and follow along. The material is clearly and simply explained with numerous graphical examples and narration. You can also manually advance through the training or set bookmarks to go to a specific section. Each of the nine modules contains a practice test at the end that shows you how well you have grasped the material in that section. The practice tests also contain some of the same material as the final Credit Assessment, so studying them closely is a foolproof way of making sure you can pass the final test and receive your certification.
After successful completion of the Credit Assessment the user can print a certificate directly from his/her PC. This certificate is legal and official proof that the individual has met all regulatory requirements for Hazmat General Awareness training and is valid for three years.

System Requirements | |
| At a minimum, you will need a Pentium 233 MHz with 16 MB RAM to run this training program. Windows 98, 2000 or XP and Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher are recommended. | |
|
Flash Plug-in | |
| You must also have the Macromedia Flash plug-in installed to view the training. Many PCs will already have this plug-in, in which case nothing further is required. If you have administrator rights on your PC you can also install the plug-in yourself by going to Macromedia's site* and following the simple instructions. If you do not have administrator rights you may have to contact your I.T. department for assistance. | |
|
Connection Speed | |
|
You should be able to view the training over a lower-speed dialup connection (56K minimum), but it may take longer to load the individual modules before they display.
NOTE: The final "Credit Assessment" will only function correctly over a higher-speed connection (DSL, cable or T1, etc.) so in order to get your certificate you will need to run the program on a higher-speed connection when you take the test.
